The Rig Run Race, hosted by Ka Nai'a Outrigger, will be the second sanctioned California Iron long-distance race in the SCORA racing season. Depending on water conditions, there will be a 4-mile short course and a 10-12 mile-long course.

The last "real" Rig Run that went out and around oil platform "C" was 2010 – due to safety concerns and logistical problems in the past, this is no longer a part of the course but remains for the namesake of this long time race.
